Landscape.

This photo is by Peter Lik. I am drawn to this photo because of the colors. It is a very catchy photo. It is very light and relaxing. It is of Tranquility Falls. My favorite parts are the colors. The colors are the main focus of the photo. The composition is good and I wouldn’t change anything. I would stand in awe. I would put my self on one of the sides.

movement

This photograph was by Eadweard Muybridge. The movement in the photo is of a man and woman dancing. You can tell there is movement because they have switched places. Movement is an important part of this photo because it shows how the couple are dancing and enjoying each other. The darks are dark and the whites are white. The photo has good composition. The black and white works well with the formal theme of the picture. One goal I could have when photographing movement is to be sure that i portray the subject in a way that can be understood by the audience and that my message is still clear.

Color

The photograph I chose is called “The Color of Wildness” and it is by Eliot Porter. It has really effective color because blue signifies peace and I feel most at peace during the winter when there is snow and ice. I like how it has a variety of different light blues. I also like the contrast in the picture. The ice has a definite outline. I think this picture shows blue well.

Critical Response

1. They both show motion.
2. The first one shows it frame by frame the second shows it as the shutter was left open for an extended period of time.
3. The first one is to show the different movements of the horse, and the second one is to show the movement of the person down the stairs. i know this because that is how they are composed.
